Insight Days 2021 – Sowing the Seeds of the Governance Profession

DMJ Recruitment, in association with The Chartered Goveance Institute, initiated the first Goveance Insight Days programme in 2016 in an effort to grow and cultivate the profile of the company secretarial profession amongst students and graduates. One could view DMJ as gardeners attempting to provide the goveance profession and young goveance enthusiasts with the opportunities they need to flourish.

Insight Days Attendee – 2019

Unfortunately, last season didn’t offer the proper growing conditions due to the pandemic and subsequent lockdown however, we have adapted. Our new format offers the same great experience in a convenient and safe environment. Attendees will still meet top-level members of their host organisation, experience common goveance scenarios and have the opportunity to network with like-minded professionals. We’re offering a safer and more regulated environment akin to a grower’s greenhouse that allows young goveance professionals to bloom regardless of outside conditions.

The UK is widely recognised as the leader in corporate goveance and rightly so. It is extremely important to set corporate goveance reforms to ensure our largest companies are more transparent and accountable to their employees and shareholders. This will help UK companies draw inward investments and unlock growth and prosperity across the entire UK. Insight Days have already inspired 400 students and graduates to secure their first role or embark on the ICSA qualification. These seedlings have grown into the roots of the mode goveance profession in the UK.
