Investment management firm seeks a Share schemes Analyst to work as part of this small team.


Purpose of role:
To assist the Associate Director of Shareholder Services with the operation of share and share option/award records and key events. To provide quality management information for key stakeholders up to Board level.

Key responsibilities
* Analyse share related data from internal and external sources in order to produce quality reporting for senior management and finance, and where necessary create macros to automate tasks that link to data hosted by third party suppliers
* Maintain share cap tables and headroom calculations including but not limited to share dilution, PRA limits and if required ABI guidelines
* Maintain and automate where possible, a database to calculate the dividend and profit allocations for shares/share units held under a nominee and the two LLPs. This will include the tracking of loans to ensure that monies are transferred accordingly
* To liaise with external providers to maintain data held on share scheme and registry databases; and with internal departments for share related data and queries
* Work closely with external providers, legal and tax advisors to ensure the smooth operation of our share plans including the life cycle events (including grant/vesting/processing leavers) for the:

o UK and Irish SAYE plans
o Share Purchase Plan (SIP)
o Matching Share Plans
o Executive (Discretionary) Share Schemes
* Responsible for facilitating the twice yearly share trading window including the sale and purchase of shares to and from the Employee Benefit Trust (EBT) and LLP corporate member (as appropriate)
* Administer transfers of shares and ensure that share registers and databases are updated accordingly
* Arrange exercise of options, including, where appropriate, the sale of sufficient shares to satisfy the purchase price and any relevant income tax or national insurance liability of the individual arising on the exercise of the option
* Ensure that cash and share transactions are monitored and funds are received and reconciled in a timely manner
* Preparation and submission of share scheme annual tax returns
* Act as the first point of contact for shareholder queries and be able to interpret and apply the articles and plan rules
* Identifying common themes to create additional learning material if required, and to challenge and improve existing processes
* Update and improve the Shareholder Services SharePoint site
* Deal professionally and effectively with internal and external contacts including main board members and other senior individuals
* Assist as necessary with ad hoc projects related to shares and share schemes
* Prepare and give share related information sharing presentations to colleagues across the firm at all levels

Candidate Profile

Qualifications:
* ICSA CERT ESP (preferred), with an accountancy background and experience of working in a listed environment desirable

* Excellent time management and flexible approach to working
* Outstanding analytical and numerical ability
* Advanced excel skills including building macros
* Strong presentation skills and willing to travel to regional offices
* The ability to organise and run key stakeholder meetings
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
