A client base spanning some of world's largest blue chip businesses the team are thought leaders in providing tech enabled governance, transaction and compliance support.
About the role
1.The role will be part of the EGC national senior management team and will work with the EGC leadership group to build the business through the execution of the team's business plan. This will involve developing thought leadership, leading client proposals and representing the firm externally with stakeholders.
2.Lead on Governance and Transaction projects (to include UK and global entity simplification mandates, design and implementation of corporate governance frameworks, provision of director training etc.) - to include managing a delivery team, review of deliverables and ensure project achieved in line with agreed budgets.
3.The role will have specific responsibility for the team's relationships with the firm's UK Deals and Tax Reporting and Strategy networks.
4.Responsibility for overseeing a portfolio of clients across the London and South East region.
Building client relationships from this portfolio will be a key part of this role. The role will work closely with Company Secretaries/General Counsels of a wide range of organisations alongside partners and directors in other teams.
5.There will be 3 manager level direct reports and 2-3 indirect reports. The role will report to the UK Business Director.
6.There will also be an opportunity to act as a career coach, playing a role in the development and appraisal process of the management team.

*Qualified chartered secretary or solicitor, preferably with recent experience in a similar role
*Experience of managing a team and reporting to senior management on budget and performance
*Strong influencing, team working and coaching skills, able to build strong relationships
*Strong transactional and governance experience with in depth knowledge of Companies Act and corporate governance requirements and their practical application
*Strong awareness of UK and global governance trends
*Focus on client delivery, resilient and able to prioritise and manage multiple clients with competing demands
*Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
*Ability to interact credibly at Board level
*Drive and enthusiasm to help develop the business
*Previous professional services experience would be desirable but is not essential
