Job Description
The Group's EMEA legal department consists of approximately 6 solicitors, as well as a trainee solicitor, paralegals and support staff. Working alongside the global legal team the EMEA legal team provides advice and support across the full range of legal disciplines for all areas of the business, including Commercial/Corporate, Litigation, Intellectual Property/Brand Protection, Operations, Compliance, Marketing and Regulatory.
The department engages and manages a variety of domestic and international outside counsel. A collaborative team that works hard, the legal department seeks a team member who is equally focused and hard-working, yet down to earth and easy to get along with.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
*Provide proactive, effective and timely guidance to all levels of the business on complex commercial agreements, particularly in the areas of operations, procurement, distribution, production and manufacturing.
*Drafting and negotiation of various kinds of business agreements, including data service agreements, vendor agreements, software licenses, equipment purchase agreements, leases, confidentiality agreements, master services agreements, and consulting agreements, amongst other responsibilities.
*Work with the global legal team, based in the US and comprising approximately 17 attorneys as well as paralegals and support staff.
*Supervise and work with outside counsel on complex commercial agreements.
*Work collaboratively to support the Group by providing legal perspective in addressing business issues with commercial, legal, and/or regulatory significance.
*Work proactively to satisfactorily resolve commercial disputes prior to litigation.
*Create, update, and maintain form contracts and other commercial agreements.
*Develop and enhance business-friendly training relating to complex commercial agreements, including establishing simplified procedures for the review, negotiation, and approval of commercial contracts.
*Provide support on any other special projects as requested by the VP of Legal or senior management to support the Group's business objectives.
*Working closely with other members of the Group's tight-knit and non-hierarchal legal team.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
*Excellent current working technical knowledge of contract norms and terms.
*Meticulous attention to detail.
*Excellent organizational skills - the ability to handle multiple ongoing projects with minimal supervision.
*Strong interpersonal, analytical, business, negotiation and communication skills; the ability to absorb complex legal issues and communicate these issues in a simple and understandable manner to non-attorneys.
*Excellent business judgment with an ability to think strategically, including translating legal/risk analysis in support of business recommendations.
*Must be able to prioritize issues and decisions (along with expenditure of time and resources) by most material to least material items.
*Ability to meet aggressive deadlines in a fluid environment and work closely with senior management.
*Positive attitude, be comfortable taking initiative, and embrace teamwork.
*Experience working in an extremely fast-paced environment.

*Willing to wear many hats and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
