Job Description

Seeking an immediately available Governance Manager, our London based client requires a technically able and confident individual to hit the ground running within their impressive team. This position does have the potential to be made permanent for the right person- previous experience within the not for profit sector would be beneficial and the preferred candidate will be fully or part ICSA qualified.

Key Responsibilities

*Provide professional secretariat support to a range of meetings- this will include forward planning commissioning and writing papers, producing accurate minutes etc.
*Proactive involvement in projects including implementation of Governance frameworks
*Ensure the smooth conduct of Council/Committee/Board business, including logistical and all other arrangements.
*Plan, design, deliver and evaluate induction programmes for new members and ongoing training activity.
*Plan and manage the process and coordinate contributions from across the organisation for the Annual Report and Accounts.
*Maintenance and administration of registers, minutes, document registers, invoices, Companies House registers, corporate record sheets, pension schemes etc.

Key Skills

*3-5 years of legal/ governance/compliance experience
*Previous experience within the not for profit sector would be desirable but not essential
*ICSA P/Q or Graduate
*Ability to develop strong working relationships
*Excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail
*Team player - ability to work as part of a team and share team structure responsibilities as well as being able to work independently
