Job Description


To support the Director of Governance in providing support to all entities across the Group in respect of governance and data security

To support the Team in the production and delivery of a robust data security framework in line with GDPR and Data Protection good practice

To support with key governance tasks, such as the management of registers, legislative updates and good practice in the sector.


A) Contribute to the overall operation of the company. Help to deliver the corporate vision, values and key messages and promote the effective corporate working of the organisation.
B) Contribute to the operational plans for the Governance service ensuring that key objectives are met. Aid continuous improvement and service success.
C) Be responsible for the Group's compliance with all necessary legal requirements commensurate with this role to minimise or alleviate risk.
D) Represent the Group with internal and external stakeholders, attending meetings, training and conferences as necessary.
E) Champion the Governance department through continually improving processes and outcomes for staff and customers.


1.Provide support in the maintenance and development of the Governance framework across the group - including the provision of company level and Group level support.
3.Aid the Director of Governance in ensuring that all Regulatory requirements are met and key registers kept in respect of matters such as gifts and hospitality and that effective, linked policies are maintained in respect of the Group's code of conduct, fraud and gifts and hospitality etc.
4.Maintain the Governance forward planner for each Board and Committee across the Group, ensuring that key reports are updated and key stakeholders engaged.
5.Update and maintain centralised governance folders and sites (such as the Board and Committee drive and Board Member collaboration areas)
6.Support the Director of Governance as liaison for stakeholder management between Boards. The Group and third parties.
7.Dealing with day to day general queries as they arise.
8.Support the Director of Governance in keeping abreast of developments in corporate governance good practice standards and inform in areas considered for escalation.
9.Deal with data protection registrations, breaches, near misses and advice to the Group in respect of data protection queries (including subject access requests), questions and/or regulatory requirements, in conjunction with the Director of Governance and the Group's Data Protection Officer.
10.Any additional governance, performance or compliance matters which may arise from time to time.

Will have a minimum of 1 years cosec experience ideally gained within the public sector.
