Job Description
Reporting into the CEO and Board of Directors this role will form part of the Society's Senior Leadership Team. Managing and growing teams across Governance, Legal and Risk & Assurance.
Lincolnshire Cooperative is the UK's most profitable and successful Coop and Lincolnshire's largest private employer. The size and complexity of the organisation spans businesses in; retail, pharmacy, funeral care, post offices and JV's with local businesses and University.
They are a significant landlord and developer in the county and have taken the lead in regeneration projects in towns and cities in the county as well as founding Lincoln Universities School of Pharmacy. In the last 10 years they have further developed their portfolio developing a digital business park for tech start-ups and a new Science Park that has drawn new STEM businesses to the county.
The Group Company Secretary & General Counsel is a critical role at both board and business level. For the board this role provides crucial support, being both a trusted advisor helping drive Group strategy and educating on responsibilities and accountabilities. At a subsidiary level, this role helps managers overcome legal challenges facing their businesses, asking the right questions to create solutions.
