Job Description

A top-tier firm is keen to hire a Professional Support Lawyer for its growing, market-leading, and internationally-focused Corporate team. This role would suit a lawyer looking to move into a PSL role as well as an existing PSL.

The role is wide-ranging across our UK corporate practice but will be predominantly public markets-facing i.e. you will focus on supporting our equity capital markets, public M&A (including shareholder activism), corporate advisory and corporate governance sub-groups. You will be supported by another practice development lawyer in the corporate team who is focused predominantly on private markets work / private M&A.

Key responsibilities:

* Equipping the practice to take itself to market in a dynamic and client-friendly style - this will involve:
o identifying developments in equity capital markets, public M&A, shareholder activism, corporate advisory and corporate governance which are of interest and relevance to clients and writing about them in a compelling way
o identifying developments in other practice areas and the sectors which are relevant to corporate transactions
o Working closely and pro-actively as relevant with marketing & business development colleagues, PDLs/PSLs in other practice areas and sector leads / specialists.

* Identifying and addressing market opportunities
* Supporting best-in-class technical performance by the practice
