Job Description

Reputed investment management firm seek a proficient Company Secretary with listed experience. Previous experience within the financial services industry is highly desirable.

Person Specification

This role is likely to suit someone who is a qualified Company Secretary with previous Company Secretarial experience with a long-term wish to build a career in a professional environment as a Company Secretary. Good technical and administrative experience is required and the successful candidate will have demonstrated enthusiasm, the ability to write well, have reasonable numeracy and be a natural team player.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

*To act on behalf of the company as the appointed Company
Secretary to nominated client Investment Trusts.

*To ensure that the client Investment Trusts receive a professional and efficient Company
Secretarial service.

*To develop a clear understanding of the portfolio, strategy and ambitions of these trusts and
to keep the Director of Investment Trust abreast of all developments.

*To act as ambassador for Henderson at all times.
Technical Skills & Qualifications Required

*Significant previous Company Secretarial experience, including listed company work.
*Have a thorough understanding of the Companies Acts 2006, private company secretarial practice and
the Listing, Prospectus and Disclosure & Transparency Rules of the FCA.
*Knowledge of Blueprint is useful but not essential.
*Candidate must be a qualified Chartered Secretary (passed the examinations of The Institute of
Chartered Secretaries and Administrators).


Competencies Required

*Good communication skills - ability to liaise confidently at all levels and act with discretion.
*Ability to prioritise effectively.
*Ability to write clear and concise reports.
*Have an eye for detail and accuracy.
*Ability to act under pressure and act on own initiative is essential.
*Team work.
*Experience of Microsoft Office, Excel and Outlook is essential
