OVERALL PURPOSEThe overall purpose of the role is to ensure all our clients are compliant with legislation and to improve their offering in Company Secretarial services.

The compliance based service has been centralised in Northampton which includes: Company Formations & Companies House Filing, Regulatory Compliance Services and Project Based Company Secretarial Support. Our plan as a regional organisation is to then improve our service offering into Corporate Governance Services, Corporate Meeting Services, Higher level Project Based Company Secretarial Support (in linkage with our Legal Services). This is a renewed focus on Company Secretarial services across the business to improve our client offering.

You will also help to deliver a consistent set of procedures for all forms of client services and be the go to expert on these services across the business.

In addition to the above you will oversee the internal Company Secretarial requirements of all the businesses that are control centrally from the Northampton Office and will report directly to a board member. For client services you will report to a dedicated Director whom will support you and assist with the changes in the organisation and oversee your personal development opportunity.

The firm is looking to grow the service and as such the team. The compliance work is currently undertaken by a Co Sec Assistant and once the foundation is settled we can look to improve the service offerings available with company reorganisation work (6 months +). Within 18 months they would anticipate sufficient growth in this new service to start to build a wider team.

THE SPECIFICS
*Oversee the manage the Company Secretarial internal and external services
*Define and set a consistent approach to all Regulatory Compliance services
*Undertake and manage all Company Formations and work with technical Service Heads on providing information for supporting linked Compliance Services post the Company Formation, such as PAYE, VAT, CIS and Banking arrangements.
*Improve our take up on Regulatory Services
*Improve our offering in Corporate Governance Services for the SME market
*Improve our offering in Corporate Meeting Services for the SME market
*Liaise with our internal Legal Service Team for Project Based Company Secretarial Support
*Manage all interactions with Companies House
*Manage all client invoicing for Services provided and monthly reporting to Finance
*Manage and maintain our Iris Software database for Company Secretarial data
*Support internal management on all Company Secretarial services
*Ensure that all documentation prepared is accurate

*Work with the rest of the team to continually enhance the systems and controls that are in place to the benefit our performance
*Any other ad-hoc duties that may be required to fulfil the objectives of our business.
