This support providing charity is seeking a Charity Secretary with high quality knowledge and experience to join the evolving organisation. Reporting directly to the Financial Director the role offers a fantastic opportunity to help move the charity forward.

Location: Hampton, Middlesex

Overall Purpose
The Charity Secretary is responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the following key areas within the Charity, its subsidiary companies, and pension schemes:

*Secretary to the Body of Governors;
*Deputy Secretary for The Pension Scheme
*Management of Stakeholder pension scheme (in conjunction with HR and Financial Controller);
*Secretary to the Finance Committee and other sub-committees as required;
*Manage the Charity's insurance programme;
*Manage the Charity's contracts;
*Secretary to the H&S committee (in conjunction with the Facilities Manager who provides technical expertise);
*Manage the Charity's vehicles (in conjunction with the Facilities Manager);
*Financial Matters (budgets, approval of payment runs, policies);
*Manage the Charity's policies and intranet;
*Manage the Charity's Life Assurance programme;
*Company Secretary for the Charity's property and promotions subsidiaries;
*Data Protection Controller;
*General support and administration.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone at a Deputy level looking to make a step-up as well as someone looking to make a lateral move into a broad ranging, dynamic and evolving role in an organisation which has a proven track record of providing the highest quality of care for its beneficiaries.

Experience and Qualifications required:
*Experience of managing full range of Secretarial activities in a similar organisation
*Qualified, or part qualified as Company Secretary or equivalent
*Current Driving license and own vehicle desirable

*Self-starter who is able to manage multiple projects and work to deadlines
*Excellent drafting skills for meeting minutes, reports and other documents
*Excellent communication skills
*Excellent analytical skills for reviewing contracts
*Excellent negotiating skills to achieve optimum results in contractual negotiations with customers and suppliers
*Proven organisational skills
*Good understanding of budgetary controls
*Be committed and able to deliver an excellent level of customer service
*Good experience of problem solving
