Job Description

Top tier accountancy firm seek an Assistant Manager. The role is client facing and visible within the firm.

Working as a member of a team of four, the Assistant Manager will help the secretariat provide high quality company secretarial services to a growing client base of non-listed UK entities.

Some of the key aspects of this role are:

To be responsible to produce the necessary documents, liaise with clients to ensure that these are executed correctly, complete the filings and registration process correctly, on time and on budget.
To assist with the supervision of the Assistant for certain tasks and, when the workload demands, performing routine company secretarial tasks including company incorporations.
To guide the Assistant in the development of their technical skills and ensure that they follow the correct procedures (including internal procedures).

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills:

Essential
Ideally ICSA qualified or part-qualified, but with solid previous experience of working on the majority of the tasks listed in this job description, ideally the top six. Good understanding of the procedure and relevant statutory requirements for each task
Previous company secretarial experience in a similar role
GCSE's including English and Maths (A-C), or equivalent
Ability to complete the majority of the tasks with little supervision
Good oral and written communication skills and an eye for detail
PC Share Register (Company Secretarial Package)

Desirable
A Levels (x3), or equivalent
Degree (minimum 2.2), or equivalent
Good understanding of the Companies Act 2006. Awareness of the changes brought in by the Small Business, Enterprise and Employment Act 2015
Able to work independently as well as a part of a team in a fast paced environment and to deliver high quality service
Able to take responsibility for their tasks and to multi-task in busy periods without losing sight of the on-going work and to ensure that deadlines are met
