A renewable energy Company is seeking a new assistant Company Secretary to join them at their London based offices. They are international, operating in 14 countries across 4 different jurisdictions.
They are working towards the development and operation of sustainable energy projects in Sierra Leone and Cameroon, with plans to extend throughout sub-Saharan Africa. Their mission is to provide electricity to the 600 million people living in sub-Saharan Africa without access to energy. Their projects focus on providing this energy via hydroelectric power.
You will have the opportunity to have great autonomy within the role, liaising with senior individuals across the group structure.
The main duties of the role:
-Maintenance of statutory registers and company records using Diligent Entities (formerly known as Blueprint)
-Administration of the Group's companies, including minutes and statutory filings, including those outside of the UK
-Support on the planning and delivery of the AGM
-Work with the Investor Relations team
-Lead on all equity issuances for companies across the group
-Maintaining the corporate calendar including AGM's and regular board meetings across the group
-Co-ordinate and deliver Board packs for companies across the group
In order to be successful at the proposed role you will have the following:
-Broad exposure within a previous Company Secretarial role, giving you the ability to work with the complex group structure
-Previous experience working with international subsidiaries preferred, particularly in working with Managing Agents of other jurisdictions
-A proactive self-starter
