Job Description

We are working with a financial institution in growing their secretarial function in Birmingham. Currently, they are in the market for an Assistant Company Secretary who will provide support to some of the Main Board Committees and Senior Management Committees.

The individual must be at least part-qualified with a professional background and experience in providing high-level support to boards. The role will offer exposure to a breadth of governance responsibilities and will look to develop good relations with the FCA and other external regulators.

Key responsibilities:
- Assisting the company secretarial function in providing support to the Board of Directors and Board Committees
- Advising on statutory, regulatory and governmental requirements
- Completing some transaction-based work including corporate actions, acquisition and disposals
