The Purpose of Group Secretariat is to enhance the reputation of the Groupl by providing and promoting effective corporate governance. We shall know if this has been achieved if:
1. Shareholder Services
Annual General Meeting - preparation of notice and project management of event, working with Group Comms.
Liaising with registrars on any shareholder queries.
Managing dividend administration and payment with Group Finance.
Manage the preparation of the department's input to the full year and half year reports, including liaising with other departments and running an overview timetable.
Managing the annual review of all Group board, committee and role terms of reference.
Managing the quarterly Corporate Governance Code update
Managing compliance with the multiple listings across all elements of the department's work,
including management of systems and policies for the management of inside information.
Supporting the Deputy Group Secretary by providing day-to-day management of the Department's contribution to Group governance, as documented in the Group's internal governance frameworks.
Providing leadership and experience in the team, managing the performance of junior members and adding to know how, training and competencies.
Attending and minuting meetings for committees.
Providing any other assistance as required from time to time to ensure departmental as well as team objectives are achieved.

Strong technical IT skills.

Proactive approach, with natural willingness and adaptability to pick up and run with new challenges
Analytical skills, with the ability to think around an issue, understanding the broader implications, devise a creative solution and proactively take the necessary action
