We have partnered with one of the UK's leading healthcare insurance providers and a market-leader in retail and corporate cash plans, looking to bring in an in-house commercial lawyer to work on a mostly-remote basis, in what promises to be a broad and challenging role.
This move would see you become a key member of an exciting, growing legal team and acting as a trusted business partner. You would be joining a team of three lawyers reporting to the Head of Legal in what will be an exceptionally diverse and constantly developing role, spanning a whole range of responsibilities.
In the last 18 months alone the team has seen a significant upturn in interesting and challenging work across a variety of commercial matters as it seeks to support an expanding business at the top of its field, constantly evolving, taking on new challenges and offering innovative products and services.
This is a really friendly and collaborative team with an excellent culture that offers great scope for career progression and outstanding flexibility. This opportunity will offer you a rewarding range of commercial legal work and only promises to diversify and develop as time goes on.
You will be expected to guide the business on matters as far-reaching as to include commercial contracts, insurance law, policy wordings, financial services regulatory issues, intellectual property, data protection, consumer/product liability, complaints handling, litigation, competition law, corporate/M&A, joint ventures, trust/employee benefits, property law and more.
To be considered for this role, you will need to be a qualified lawyer with, ideally, at least 5 years' PQE acquired in a commercial legal counsel capacity. You should ideally have experience from an in-house legal team in a commercial role and/or from a relevant law firm department.
The ideal candidate will be someone looking to challenge themselves and work with a market-leading business on a broad scope of legal matters, willing to work as part of a team to solve problems and take on new challenges every day.
