The Role:
DMJ is delighted to partner with the revolutionary satellite communications company ALL.SPACE in hiring their General Counsel. They are looking for a candidate who can create a fit for purpose legal, governance and regulatory function as they complete their round of series C funding with a future goal to IPO in the coming years.
The role will provide critical support to the Board’s Strategy with the successful candidate having the experience and gravitas to provide complex regulatory and legislative legal advice to the business.
The General Counsel will need to manage risk while also taking an entrepreneurial approach in providing key support to the Executive Committee and quickly establishing themselves as a trusted advisor to the business.

Founded 10 years’ ago by John Finney ALL.SPACE are pioneering the introduction of innovative and disruptive low-profile multiple-beam satellite communications terminals for mobile and fixed applications.
With over $100m in funding, the IP has applications across a wide range of market sectors including aeronautical, land mobile, maritime and 5G allowing this revolutionary technology to be used by Government & Defence, Aero, Satellite Service Providers and Telecom Service Providers.
They remain founder led with 150 dedicated employees and plans to double this number over the next 18 months. To lead this growth ALL.SPACE have recently built out an executive of experienced individuals with a track record of scaling businesses and IPOs in the sector.
This is an exciting opportunity within a rapidly growing business for a General Counsel to have a real impact on growth and strategy.

Key responsibilities and experience:
- General Counsel or Deputy General Counsel experience
- A minimum of 10 years of legal experience in a corporate setting
- Experience in building and developing legal functions
- Managing legal function and protocol across multiple regions/jurisdictions
- Ideally experience in IP and Patent Protection, either managing teams, external counsel or directly
- Exposure to DoD and US contracting
- Experience interacting and engaging with multiple legislative bodies of countries and states
- Experience working in a regulated sector
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to work with pace, accuracy and confidence
