I am currently working with  a leading Chartered Accountants & Tax Advisers in London, Watford and Milton Keynes. 

The firm is growing, dynamic and innovative, developing new ideas and services to assist their clients. 


Vacancy Details

The position is based in either the Milton Keynes or Watford office. This can be a part-time to full time role with hybrid working. The duties will include:


Providing annual and ad-hoc compliance services to clients including:

Maintaining company statutory registers
Providing registered office facilities
Managing client compliance deadlines
Preparing and filing annual Confirmation Statements
Advising clients generally on company secretarial matters
Overseeing the AML/onboarding of clients process

Providing ad-hoc advice and assistance to clients, including:

Drafting documents to deal with statutory changes such as board appointments and
resignations, allotments and transfers of shares and share reorganisations and redesignations
Drafting minutes and other documents to deal with general and special meetings, changes of name, accounts approvals etc
Dealing with other transaction driven changes such as purchase of own shares and share for share exchanges
Registration or removal of company charges within time limits
Reconstruction of company statutory registers from a variety of sources
Dealing with stamp duty in respect of share transfers
Dealing with changes to Articles

Providing assistance with incorporation of UK corporate entities including:

Liaising with formation agents
Management of incorporation process including advising on choice of corporate name and availability thereof.
Providing advice relating to appropriate type of entity formation and constitutional

Ideally you will have the following skills/experience:


Have strong company secretarial experience in a legal or professional services environment and hold The Chartered Governance Qualification.
Knowledge of Companies House services and electronic filing systems
Be able to demonstrate a solid understanding of UK corporate legal and regulatory requirements, in particularly statutory filings, documentation drafting and corporate record keeping under The Companies Act 2006
Have experience in Anti Money Laundering requirements
A commercial focus with a good technical knowledge and commitment to developing the services offered
An ability to research and advise on the law and apply that research to a relevant matter
An ability to manage small team effectively and perform well under time and work pressures
A good team player and able to work collaboratively with colleagues and build relationships with clients
A genuine interest in, and enthusiasm for, company secretarial law and practice.
