This is a superb opportunity for an Assistant manager within this offshore law firm's London office. The post holder will be the first Company Secretarial hire within the London office who's primary responsibility will be to assist in developing and delivering a range of corporate administration services to a varied portfolio of clients and entities within the UK. You will work closely with the Director and other managers in the team to maintain and grow client relationships.

This role is likely to expand into a line management role over time.

Key Responsibilities
  • All aspects of transaction management, including organising and attending client meetings and drafting more complex minutes and resolutions.
  • Act as a higher authority on day-to-day administration queries and as 4-eyes signatory, ensuring that company policies, procedures and guidelines are adhered to and that a professional quality service is provided to clients and outside contacts.
  • Supporting the 'Best Way' ethos across the team through rigorous process analysis to drive alignment and consistency.
  • Acting as a mentor, supervising and assisting in the training and development of junior staff.
  • Contributing towards the business as a whole in identifying process improvements, including improvements in policies and procedures and any other service innovation changes that would improve the client experience.
  • Ensure understanding by the team and compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and internal policies and procedures, including those related to the prevention of anti-money laundering and terrorist financing, reporting of suspicious activity and transactions, client due diligence and record keeping.
  • Acting as a role model through effective positive leadership behaviours.
  • A strong background in corporate administration services with at least 5 years relevant experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge of the applicable statutory laws and other related legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent academic background and considerable practical experience, supported by a relevant professional qualification such as chartership with the CGI or an equivalent degree.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to the highest standards of client service based on understanding needs and delivering solutions.
  • Strong working knowledge of Viewpoint would be an advantage.
  • Ability to provide sound and commercial advice.
  • Strong attention to detail. Must be committed and driven to achieving excellence for themselves, their client and their team.
