Best practice corporate governance extends in many directions. Ensuring that employees are professionally screened not only adds to robust anti-bribery processes, but ensures that regulatory regimes are fully complied with.
To provide evidence-based assurance that candidates’ details are accurate and to mitigate risks from potential “bad apples” in the areas in which we specialise, we have formed an association with Eurocom CI, a fast-growing specialist provider of professional screening services.
Whilst we accept the risk that a screening check may cost us a fee, we feel that providing clients with the opportunity of professionally screening candidates provides an altogether different level of service.
Our aim is to inform, not judge, thus helping clients ensure that they make the best possible candidate selections.

1. Screening Levels
Our suggested service levels provide different levels of protection depending on the role and its associated sensitivity within client organisations. These checks meet all regulatory standards (including FSA) and also accord with best practice. Services can be tailored to specific requirements upon request.

Basic CRB checks can be provided at £46 as part of the screening services.
What will it cost?
DMJ will offer background screening free of charge to any client that engages us on an exclusive basis for legal, company secretarial and support staff roles. This offer only applies to the candidate that has verbally accepted a formal offer of employment from you.
If DMJ is not instructed on an exclusive basis, i.e multi agency assignment but you would still like to use this service, the following charges will apply:
- Pre-employment Level 1 - £185 + vat
- Pre-employment Level 2 - £330 + vat
- Pre-employment Level 3 - £478 + vat
Please add £46 + vat if you require a basic CRB check in addition to the above.
There is a minimum fee of £75 per screening, including withdrawals and spoiled applications.
Please Note:
- Any work carried out outside the scope of this proposal will be subject to Eurocom’s standard hourly rates.
- Eurocom will be granted permission to speak directly to DMJ’s candidates and clients on a strictly confidential basis and for background screening purposes only.

3. How does it work?
Firstly, we alert candidates that they may be subject to professional screening.
Employers: To register your interest, please click here quoting ‘DMJ Screening’ in the subject box - This will trigger a 10% discount in the invoice, excluding the CRB element.
We will contact Eurocom CI on your behalf and ask them to contact you directly. They will confirm with you the level of screening required, fees (if appropriate) and provide details of your screening manager.
Eurocom will email the relevant screening form branded with your logo/identity and will then liaise with the candidate directly to ensure that all details are provided in a timely and accurate manner.
Eurocom will provide you with a full report with references, providing you with proof of validation.
